Hi there, I’m Kate!
I’m a math educator and mom, here to help you teach math with confidence.
My goal is to take the mystery out of teaching homeschool math and give you the skills and information you need to teach math well. I’ll help you have fewer tears and more smiles during math time, and no more sleepless nights worrying that your child will never memorize the multiplication table.
You won’t find worksheets here. Instead, you’ll find solid, practical advice that you can use with any math curriculum:
- What’s mental math and why is it important?
- What should I do with my kid whose numbers are backwards?
- How do I help my kids tackle word problems?
- Do I really need to buy a million little plastic blocks to teach math?
If it’s been a while since you last did long division or multiplied fractions, I’ll also help you relearn those concepts (or maybe even understand them for the first time.) And if you’re having trouble choosing a homeschool math curriculum, I have you covered there, too.
Teaching your children math doesn’t have to be a boring, painful slog. Instead, it can be satisfying, interesting, and fun. I look forward to joining you on the journey!
